Our ISA-Certified Arborists

Emmanuel Lorta — Lead Certified Arborist & Owner

ISA Certification: On file — Colorado-licensed, insured, and ANSI A300 trained
Experience: 14+ years in tree care across the Denver metro
Specialties: Tree risk assessment, hazard removal, large-scale tree pruning, stump grinding, and emergency storm response
Education: Trained in ISA Best Management Practices for Tree Pruning, Soil Management, and Tree Risk Assessment

Emmanuel founded Tree Service Denver LLC after a decade working in arboriculture and noticing that too many Colorado homeowners were being served by uncertified crews using improper pruning cuts and unsafe rigging. His mission: bring certified, accountable tree care to every neighborhood in the Denver metro. He personally oversees complex removals, large tree pruning projects, and all commercial contracts.

Senior Arborist Crew — Front Range Operations

Every crew dispatched by Tree Service Denver LLC includes at minimum one ISA-certified team member on-site. Our senior arborists carry full knowledge of Colorado’s native and ornamental species — including Ponderosa Pine, Blue Spruce, Cottonwood, Aspen, Gambel Oak, and Austrian Pine — and understand the unique stresses of Colorado’s high-altitude, freeze-thaw climate.

Crew Certifications & Standards:

  • ISA Certified Arborist credential on every job site
  • Colorado contractor license — verified and current
  • Full liability insurance + workers’ compensation coverage
  • ANSI A300 industry standards compliance on all pruning and removal work
  • OSHA-compliant aerial and ground operations
  • Trained in proper rigging, notch-cutting, and directional felling

What ISA Certification Actually Means

The International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist credential requires a minimum of three years of professional tree work experience and passing a rigorous examination covering tree biology, pruning science, soil management, tree risk assessment, and safe work practices. Fewer than 25% of tree workers in the U.S. hold this credential.

In Colorado, there is no state licensing requirement for tree services — meaning anyone can advertise as a “tree company” with zero training. ISA certification is the single most important qualifier to look for when hiring. It demonstrates verified knowledge, ongoing education requirements, and commitment to industry best practices.

Verify Our Credentials

We encourage every customer to verify our credentials before hiring. You can confirm ISA certification status at treesaregood.org/findanarborist and check our Colorado contractor license through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies. We welcome the comparison.
